How I Got My Gaming PC's Front USB-C Port Working Without Replacing the Motherboard
Check it out here: USB 3.0 Header Splitter & USB Front Panel Type-E Adapter
My gaming PC case included a front USB-C port, but my motherboard didn't have a USB Type-E header to connect it. Instead of upgrading the motherboard, I used a USB 3.0 internal header splitter along with a USB 3.0 to USB Type-E front panel adapter to get the front USB-C port working.
This simple PC upgrade let me take advantage of the USB-C port on my case, making it much easier to connect USB-C devices. I mainly use it with my wireless microphones for work meetings.
If your PC case has a front USB-C port that isn't connected because your motherboard lacks a Type-E header, this is an affordable DIY solution worth considering.
